Dear Alpha Phi Sisters,

When I moved to the Philadelphia area in the summer of 2005, I made the decision to drive to Conshohocken and go into some stranger's apartment to meet women I didn't know.  Now of course this sounds a bit strange, but I did actually have a reason - I was going to my first Ivy Connection meeting.  Although I was apprehensive to walk into a room full of strangers, I knew that we all had one thing in common....we were all Alpha Phis.

Two years later, I couldn't be happier with the decision I made, and even more honored to now be president of such an amazing organization.  Our chapter draws its membership from the most outstanding young women in the Philadelphia area.   As an Ivy Connection, not only are we tied as Alpha Phi sisters, but as women who have just graduated within the past ten years, we are starting our careers, hitting the books in graduate school, or balancing the demands of a family - and in some cases, doing all three at the same time!

Whether you are new to the Philadelphia region, just graduated from college, or simply want to meet other sisters, the Greater Philadelphia Ivy Connection provides an outstanding social and networking outlet to not only connect with other young women, but reconnect with the ties that bind us together in sisterhood. I hope you will choose to "make the connection" with our chapter and join us at an event soon.

aoe,
Shannon Dooley Pruce (BN^)
